The problem

Gartner forecasts that by 2028 more than one-third of enterprise software will contain agentic AI. KPMG (cited by IBM) shows 88% of organizations are already exploring or piloting agents. Yet Gartner’s AI Readiness data exposes the structural failure:

  • 70% of IT leaders rank security and governance among the top three barriers to scale.
  • More than half of organizations rate themselves only fair (or worse) at mitigating AI risk.
  • Only 38% of CIOs rate their AI value progress as good or excellent.

IBM is explicit: AI agents are black boxes. Autonomous tool calls, multi-step reasoning and external actions make it “difficult to trace how AI agents generate specific outputs.” The consequences are compliance exposure, unexplainable failures and liability that remains entirely on the enterprise.

Existing observability layers — including IBM watsonx.governance and Instana — produce internal traces that require system access and remain vendor-dependent. They are not cryptographically signed, not independently verifiable, and not portable. Regulators cannot confirm authenticity offline. Customers cannot see the decision path. Proof stays locked inside the platform that generated it.

GSP: cryptographic verification by design

SKENAI’s GSP (Gate · Settle · Prove) is the only solution that converts every agent action into a cryptographically signed, independently verifiable Passport.

GATE

Pre-execution cryptographic classification. Before any action executes, RATIO Gate evaluates authorization, data currency and guardrail status. Unauthorized decisions are blocked. The gate decision itself is hashed and bound to the subsequent proof.

SETTLE

Immutable cryptographic ledger. Every prompt, tool call, data source, reasoning step and timestamp is written to SKENAI’s tamper-proof settlement ledger. Each entry is cryptographically chained. Alteration is detectable and mathematically impossible without detection.

PROVE

Signed Passport receipt. A portable, downloadable attestation cryptographically signed by the SKENAI root. Any regulator, auditor or customer can verify authenticity and integrity in seconds — with no system access, no API keys, and no dependence on the original platform.

This is the same surgical Passport architecture already live on SKENAI: charge → audit → mint a signed, reusable, meterable asset. Applied to agent actions, cryptographic verification turns compliance from a cost center into a portable, monetizable proof of work.

Why only GSP delivers true cryptographic proof

Cryptographic verification is the decisive advantage. Logs can be altered. Dashboards can be restricted. Only a signed, chained Passport can be independently proven authentic by any third party at any time.

Traction

  • Live cryptographic Passport and settlement ledger already minting signed receipts
  • Pipeline: 8090 Software Factory + regulated BI agencies
  • Direct alignment with Gartner AI TRiSM demands for audit trails, lineage and runtime enforcement — delivered portably and cryptographically

When a regulator asks “Why did the agent do that?”

The answer is not a log file or a vendor dashboard. It is a cryptographically signed Passport that any party can verify in seconds, offline, with mathematical certainty.

That is the missing layer. We are shipping it now.
